Three new occupiers at Tournament Fields
25th April 2007
Warwick's newest business park is proving a hit with occupiers with three more businesses taking advantage of its freehold offer.
Hinton Properties, Careworks and Emerald Stone Housing have all acquired space at Tournament Court, a 17 unit landscaped development on the outskirts of Warwick and just minutes from junction 15 of the M40.
The companies join Laing Homes at the development which is the first phase of the 52 acre Tournament Fields site and is set to become the most prestigious business address in the Midlands.
Hinton Properties, which is currently developing Tameside Park in Birmingham and has relocated from Tamworth, has a acquired a 2,632 sq ft unit. Careworks, an Irish owned software company formally based near Redditch, has acquired a 2,029 sq ft unit. Emerald Stone Housing is taking a 2,040 sq ft unit.
Mike Bracken, director of Sackville Properties, said: "Tournament Court is bringing an extremely high quality offer to the marketplace and this is being reflected in the significant interest being shown by potential tenants and occupiers.
"As well as its extremely convenient location on the outskirts of Warwick and at the heart of the Midlands' motorway network, Tournament Court offers Grade A office space within landscaped surroundings that offer an unrivalled working environment.
"These factors coupled with Tournament Court's freehold and rental opportunities have clear attractions and of the 17 available units we now have agreed terms on four with another six under offer."
Warwick's central Midland location and its proximity to major transport links, as well as the racecourse and a number of quality hotels, has enhanced its reputation as a business destination. It is already home to several blue chip companies, including National Grid, Conoco Phillips, Volvo and the new European headquarters of Wolseley Plc.
Adjacent to Tournament Fields, a major new residential development of more than 1,200 homes is under construction which will include a new district centre and convenience store and other amenities.
James Hinton, director of Hinton Properties, said the move to Tournament Court reflected the company's long term aspirations for growth. He said: "The development's central location in the region and its proximity to the M40 were key drivers in our decision to relocate from Tamworth to Tournament Court.
"Warwick is also a real growth area with a reputation as a business location that is really on the up and we wanted to be part of its extremely exciting future. The quality of the build at Tournament Court is also extremely high and the opportunity to acquire a headquarters where we could lay down our roots and grow was a chance we didn't want to miss."
Joint agents on Tournament Court are Savills and Wareing and Company.
